Time to Discover Morocco With Our Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour

Our private tour of Morocco begins in the vibrant city of Fes! We’ll be picked up bright and early by our driver, ready to trade bustling streets for rolling hills and golden sands. As we leave Fes behind, the landscape begins to transform, revealing the verdant Middle Atlas Mountains. Lush greenery carpets the slopes, and charming towns like Ifrane dot the route. We’ll stretch our legs and snap some photos amidst the majestic cedar forests of Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques basking in the sun.

After a delicious lunch in a Berber village (with Berbers) – we’ll delve deeper into the Middle Atlas, soaking in the ever-changing scenery. Prepare to be awestruck by the panoramic views of the Ziz Valley, a tapestry of palm groves and winding rivers stretching out before us. Our Fes to Marrakech desert tour continues to Erfoud and Er-rissani, a gateway to the mesmerizing desert and its hidden oases.

Anticipation builds as we reach Merzouga, the edge of the Sahara Desert beckoning with its endless sand dunes. Leaving some luggage at our desert hotel, we’ll pack light for the adventure awaiting – an unforgettable night under the stars! We’ll mount our trusty camels, embarking on a 1.5-hour journey into the heart of the dunes.

Day one in Morocco promises an unforgettable blend of cultural immersion, breathtaking landscapes, and an exciting taste of the desert life – just the beginning of our private Morocco tour!

A Taste of the Desert

The first light of dawn paints the dunes in a mesmerizing dance of colors. We climb back onto our trusty steeds, absorbing the spectacle of the desert awakening.

Our journey continues deeper into the Moroccan heartland as we head towards Tafilalt, also known as Er-rissani, nestled in the fertile Ziz Valley. This ancient Berber and Bedouin city holds the key to Morocco’s fascinating history, and we will get the chance to wander its streets, soaking in the atmosphere.

As the sun climbs higher, we bid farewell to Er-rissani and go on a drive through the majestic Dades Valley. With each twist and turn, the Dades Mountains unveil their beauty, it leaves most people speechless!

As the day draws to a close, we settle into our comfortable accommodation in the heart of the Dades Valley. With the echoes of the day’s adventures still fresh in our minds, we dream of tomorrow’s discoveries, knowing that the best of Morocco is yet to unfold.

Dades Valley to Marrakech

We start day three of our Fes to Marrakech desert tour in the Dades Valley hotel with a big breakfast. After saying goodbye to our cozy accommodation, we hop back into our vehicles. Time to head towards Ouarzazate!
On our way, we will pass through Skoura Oasis, a picturesque area with palm groves and mudbrick kasbahs, giving us a glimpse into Morocco’s traditional life. We’ll stop at a viewpoint to capture the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its stories of ancient battles and enduring strength.

Next we approach Ouarzazate. The city has been a backdrop for many famous films like “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Gladiator.” We’ll also make a pit stop near the Atlas Film Studio.

After that, we head to the UNESCO-protected Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This fortified village, sitting on a hilltop, has captured the hearts of filmmakers and travelers alike.

With high spirits, we start the final part of our journey—a drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass, the highest road pass in Morocco. The winding roads will give us a good look at the Berber villages clinging to the mountainsides.

As the sun sets and casts long shadows on the peaks, we reach Marrakech, the heart of Morocco. Our three-day Morocco tour package is coming to an end, but the memories we’ve made throught our Fes to Marrakech desert tour will stay with us. One thing is for certain- the country has definitely left its mark on us.
